The best dating app for trans men: most of these were not built for you
An honest answer to a question with a short list: trans dating apps are largely built around trans women, and it shows.
Search for a trans dating app and almost everything returned was designed with trans women in mind. The marketing images, the reviews, the complaints, the feature choices. This is not a conspiracy, it is a market: the demand these apps were built to serve is cis men looking for trans women, and that shaped the products.
So a list of the best dating apps for trans men has to start by saying that plainly, rather than pretending the same five apps answer both questions equally well. Everything factual below comes from each app's own public listing, checked on 21 August 2026.
What being built around someone else looks like in practice
It looks like an app where you are technically admitted and structurally invisible. The categories, the discovery defaults and the people already there all point one way, and you end up either miscategorised or in an empty room.
It also looks like the admirer problem arriving in a different shape. On apps that admit admirers, the traffic is aimed at trans women; a transmasc person is more often simply not seen. Fewer unwanted messages, and fewer messages of any kind.

Reading that table as a trans man
Fiorry and Taimi are the two where you are a first-class category rather than an afterthought: Fiorry admits trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people across iOS, Android and web, and Taimi covers the whole LGBTQ+ spectrum, which includes the queer men's side of it. Neither was built for you specifically, but neither was built around you being sought as a type.
HER is worth naming precisely because the search results will show it to you and it may not be what you want. It is a queer women's app that includes non-binary people. Some trans men have a history there and stay; many do not, and there is no failure in that either way.
Butterfly and Translr are the two where the premise works against you. Both are organised around members being open to dating trans people, and in practice that traffic is aimed elsewhere.
The apps that are not in our table
A lot of trans men do not use trans dating apps at all. The two patterns we hear most often are the queer men's apps, where the question becomes how a given app handles disclosure and filtering rather than whether you are admitted, and the text-first personals format, where you write what you are looking for and nobody swipes on a photo.
We have not put those in the comparison table because we have not audited their listings the way we audited these five, and a table implies a level of checking we have not done. Naming them without figures is more honest than adding a row we cannot source.
The disclosure question, which no app solves for you
Every app here lets you control what your profile shows. None of them can decide for you whether being stealth on a dating app is safety or a problem deferred, and any app that markets an answer to that is selling you something.
What an app can do is make the choice reversible and low stakes: visibility controls that are free rather than premium, and no field that outs you by default. That is a fair thing to check before you fill in a profile.
Where we stand in this
T4TSpace admits trans and non-binary people only, which removes the admirer traffic but does not by itself solve the second problem on this page, the empty room. We are small, and the honest thing to do is show you the real number of people near you before you invest an evening in a profile.
