T4TSpace for iPhone
Submitted to Apple and waiting for review. Until it is out, the website does everything.
The iPhone app has been submitted to Apple and is waiting for review. It is not on the App Store yet, and we would rather write that here than let a button lead nowhere.
Until it is out, T4TSpace runs in Safari at t4tspace.com/app. It is the same service, not a reduced version: the same account, the same people, the same rules, in seven languages.
Add it to your home screen
Open t4tspace.com/app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It opens like any other app afterwards, without the browser bars around it.
On iPhone this is also the only way notifications can reach you: Apple does not deliver them to a site opened as an ordinary tab.
If your phone might be looked at by someone else, think twice before doing it: it puts an icon on your home screen, exactly like an installed app.
What the app will add
Notifications without keeping anything open, and an icon that does not depend on Safari being open.
A notification will never contain a name, a photo, or what someone wrote, exactly as on the website today.
What it will ask of your phone
The camera, only for the selfie that verifies your account. A person looks at it, decides, and it is deleted at that moment. It never appears on your profile.
Your photos, only when you add one to your profile or to a conversation. Hidden location data is removed before anything is saved.
The microphone, only when you record a voice message in a conversation.
Your location, to sort people by distance. We store a point moved up to 250 metres from the one your phone reports, and we never return coordinates.
When it is out
This page will carry the App Store link, and the button at the top of the site will point to the store instead of here. What's new records it the day it happens.
