Taimi

Taimi is published by Social Impact Inc. and describes itself as an all-in-one LGBTQ+ dating app where, in its own words, people of all genders and sexualities can meet and connect safely. It is rated 18+ on the App Store.

That description is the most important thing about it. Taimi is not a trans app that also admits other people; it is a general queer app in which trans and non-binary people are one audience among several. Whether that is a strength or a problem depends entirely on what you are looking for.

Who is admitted

Anyone who is part of, or aligned with, the LGBTQ+ community. Cis gay, lesbian, bisexual and queer people are the core audience alongside trans and non-binary people. There is no trans-only mode.

Taimi's own marketing emphasises the range of gender and orientation options you can select when describing yourself, and states that those options are not behind the paywall. If you want your gender written the way you would say it out loud, that matters.

The practical consequence of an open door is that the work of filtering falls on you. People who are on the app specifically to meet trans people are admitted on the same terms as everyone else.

Safety tools

Taimi's listing states that every profile is verified, describes advanced photo verification intended to keep out fake profiles and bots, and mentions screenshot protection and moderation aimed at harassment-free interaction.

We have not tested any of these claims, and a claim on a store listing is not evidence that the system works well in practice. What is checkable is that verification is presented as something applied to everyone rather than sold as a badge.

What costs money

Taimi is free to download and free to use for browsing, matching and messaging matches. It sells subscription tiers named Bronze, Silver and Gold.

On the US App Store on 21 August 2026, the listed in-app purchase prices ranged from $0.99 to $34.99. The listing does not state which duration goes with which price, so we are not going to turn those figures into a monthly cost — check the app itself, and check it in your own country, because prices differ by region.

Features described as paid include premium filters, seeing who visited your profile, unlimited likes, profile boosts and setting a custom location.

Our read

Taimi makes sense if you want one app covering the whole queer spectrum and you are comfortable doing your own filtering. It makes less sense if the specific thing you want is other trans people, because nothing in the product is built to give you that.
