T4TSpace for Android
Free on Google Play, the same account as the website, and nothing to pay inside it.
The Android app is on Google Play. It is free, nothing is sold inside it, and it is the same T4TSpace as the website: one account, the same people, the same rules. Open it on Google Play.
If you already have an account, sign in with the same email address and you will find everything where you left it. There is nothing to move across.
What the app adds
Notifications reach you without keeping a browser tab open, and the app sits on your home screen like any other.
A notification never contains a name, a photo, or what someone wrote. It says that something happened, and nothing else. You can also make every one of them say only « New activity », under Account and data, then Discretion. What each option does, and what it does not hide.
What it asks of your phone, and why
The camera, only for the selfie that verifies your account. A person looks at it, decides, and it is deleted at that moment. It never appears on your profile.
Your photos, only when you add one to your profile or to a conversation. Hidden location data is removed before anything is saved.
The microphone, only when you record a voice message in a conversation.
Your location, to sort people by distance. We store a point moved up to 250 metres from the one your phone reports, and we never return coordinates.
Nothing else is asked, and nothing is asked before you use the feature that needs it. The app never reads your contacts, your calendar or your files.
Where it is offered
The app is offered on Google Play in 112 countries. It is deliberately not offered where the law or the police target trans people: an installed dating app is easy to find when a phone is searched, and we will not be the ones putting it there. Where, why, and a few precautions.
In those countries the website stays open. That is not risk-free either, and the same page says plainly what a browser leaves behind and what reduces it.
If you would rather not install anything
The website does everything the app does, at t4tspace.com/app, with nothing to install and no store account needed. From the browser menu you can add it to your home screen, and it then opens like an app.
