Law enforcement requests

We publish this because the platforms that do not tend to be the ones with something to explain.

Our position

We require valid legal process for any user data, we review every request against the law of the jurisdiction it comes from, and we refuse requests that are overbroad or that we believe would put someone at risk of persecution for being trans.

Notification

We tell the affected person unless we are legally barred from doing so. Where the bar is temporary, we tell them as soon as it lifts.

Transparency

Moderation figures are published on our transparency page and come straight from the database. Numbers on legal requests will be added there once there are any to report.
