Law enforcement requests

We publish this because platforms that don't tend to be the ones with something to explain.

Our position

We require valid legal process for any user data, review every request against the law of the jurisdiction it comes from, and refuse requests that are overbroad or that we believe would put a user at risk of persecution for being trans.

Notification

We notify the affected user unless we're legally barred from doing so. Where we're barred temporarily, we notify as soon as the bar lifts.

Transparency

We'll publish the number of requests received, from where, and how many we complied with. The first report will be published once the app has been live for a full quarter.
