HER is published by Bloomer Inc, is rated 18+, and describes its audience as queer women, lesbian, bi, non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming people. Its own phrase for itself is built by queers for queers.

We have included it because it comes up constantly in these conversations, but it belongs in a different category from the other four. HER is a queer women's app that welcomes trans and non-binary people; it is not built around trans dating.

Who is admitted

Queer women and non-binary people, broadly defined. Transbians, transfem people and non-binary people are explicitly part of the audience rather than tolerated at the edges, and HER's community features are the reason many people stay on it.

The limit follows from the same fact. If you are a transmasc person looking for other trans men, or you are looking for t4t connection across the whole spectrum, HER is not aimed at you. That is not a criticism of HER — an app is allowed to be for someone specific. It just means the fit depends on who you are and who you are looking for.

Safety tools

HER's listing describes an incognito mode where nobody sees you unless you like them first, blocking and reporting with a consolidated Support and Safety screen, community guidelines enforcement including account holds, and in-app reporting of illegal content.

Incognito mode is the notable one for anyone who is not out. HER's listing does not describe a mandatory identity verification step in the way the trans-specific apps do, which is a real difference between the two categories.

What costs money

HER states that its core features are free. On the US App Store on 21 August 2026, in-app purchases were listed as HER Premium at $14.99, HER Gold at $14.99, and HER Platinum at $19.99, $24.99, $29.99 and $31.99.

As with most of this page, the listing does not attach durations to those prices, so we are not presenting them as monthly costs.

Platforms

iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play.

Our read

HER is a strong app for queer women and non-binary people, and many trans women and transfem people use it happily. Judge it as that, not as a trans dating app, and the question of whether it suits you answers itself.
