HER

HER is published by Bloomer Inc and is rated 18+. Its listing addresses queer women, lesbian, bi, non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming people, and its help centre names trans women and trans men explicitly.

It comes up constantly in these conversations, and HER now presents itself as a safe space for trans women, trans men and people outside the gender binary. Its name and its listing still put queer women first, which is worth knowing before you compare it with trans-focused apps.

Who it is for

Queer women and LGBTQ+ people outside the gender binary, broadly defined. Transbians, transfem people and non-binary people are inside that description by design, and HER's trans dating page says trans men and women, non-binary people and genderqueers are always welcome. Its community guidelines say plainly that trans chasers are not allowed on HER.

Its Google Play description names cis women among the people who are welcome; cis men are not named anywhere we looked. If you are looking for cis men, HER is not aimed at you.

Verification

The App Store listing does not describe verification. HER's website says users verify by linking a social media account and completing a photo check, while its home page says it encourages users to verify. A face photo is required by its guidelines, and a selfie age check can be requested at sign-up, with a trained moderator reviewing flagged cases. Getting verified is free; filtering for verified profiles is a paid filter.

Reporting and blocking

An August 2026 update redesigned blocking and reporting around a single Support and Safety screen, with in-app links for reporting illegal content. HER says it uses automated tools and trained human agents to review harmful behaviour. It publishes no response time.

Privacy

Incognito mode, where nobody sees you unless you like them first, is a paid feature, listed in both paid tiers, and so is changing your location. We found nothing about screenshot protection, hiding your distance or a discreet app icon.

What costs money

HER says its core features are free, and that you can like, match and message without paying. Its paid tiers are Gold and Platinum. The listing says premium prices start at $14.99 a month, and on the US App Store on 18 September 2026 it listed Her Premium and HER Gold at $14.99 and Platinum at $19.99, $24.99, $29.99 and $31.99, without saying which duration goes with which price.

Our read

HER is a strong option if you are a queer woman or a non-binary person looking for queer women, and its rules name chasers as unwelcome. Judge it as a large queer app that includes trans people rather than as an app made only for them, and remember that incognito mode is part of the paid tiers.
