It is used by people of any gender, since the word describes where the attraction goes rather than who is feeling it.
The set is completed by saturnic, for attraction to nonbinary people only. All three are recent and mostly circulate in nonbinary and younger queer communities.
Uranic is not gay with a longer name
It gets read as a more complicated way of saying gay, which loses the part that makes it useful: gay assumes a category built around men, with nonbinary people added afterwards if at all.
