Girlflux
Being a girl or woman, with the intensity of it rising and falling.
Girlflux describes someone whose gender is female, with the strength of that varying over time. At the high end it is fully present; at the low end it can thin out toward neutral or agender.
It is genderflux applied to a specific gender. The gender itself stays the same, and a girlflux person on a quiet week is still a woman.
Its counterpart is boyflux, and both are used by binary and nonbinary people. Variation in intensity says nothing about whether the gender is binary.
Girlflux does not mean the gender switches off
The low end is read as absence, which turns a variation in intensity into a change of gender. That is the confusion genderflux exists to prevent.
For most girlflux people the quiet weeks still sit inside womanhood, and the certainty does not move with the volume.
